Alabama Artificial Limb & Orthopedic Service, Inc. is a member of POINT Health Centers of America, a group of independently owned orthotic and prosthetic practices from across the country. These practices have joined together to avail themselves the advantages of offering expanded service location coverage to obtain managed care participation agreements, and the benefit of volume discounts to lower their supply costs to be competitive with those received by the large "chain" companies.
By allying with other independent practices with similar views on preserving the essential professional practitioner-patient relationship, POINT practices avail themselves of an additional competitive tool with which they may accomplish their goals. Their desire is to continue to deliver top quality services while simultaneously responding to the tremendous pressure to reduce costs to provide these services. POINT maintains the highest standards of quality for its facilities, requiring that each location is accredited by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics.
