Pedorthics Specialty Added at Alabama Artificial
Limb Company
Alabama Artificial Limb Company, Inc., a
prosthetics firm located in Montgomery, Alabama
has added professional pedorthic services at the
request of several area physicians.
Glenn Crumpton, C.P.O., C.Ped., vice
president of the company, responded to the
physicians’ requests and attended the pedorthics
course at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of
Podiatric Medicine located in Chicago, Illinois.
(Pedorthics is the design, manufacture, fit
and/or modification of shoes and foot orthoses
to alleviate foot problems caused by disease,
overuse or injury.) He successfully earned
his certification in pedorthics earlier this
year and immediately began the preliminary
planning to provide pedorthic services at the
company’s two Montgomery locations.
"We felt that it was important to provide the
medical community we serve with the same high
level of quality for pedorthics as they have
become accustomed to with our prosthetics," said
Crumpton. "Together, Alabama Artificial Limb
Company and Orthopedic Service Company can now
offer the Montgomery area a full-range of
prosthetic, orthotic and pedorthic services as a
combined services facility."
Alabama Artificial Limb Company, Inc. and
Orthopedic Service Company, Inc. have recently
joined to become a combined services facility.
The main office is located at 1223 East South
Boulevard near Baptist Medical Center South,
with a new second location at 495 St. Luke’s
Drive near Baptist Medical Center East. |
