Quality Assurance

Our company is committed to achieving the highest quality care available for our patients. The foundation for this care lies in the AAL&OS Quality Assurance (QA) Program.

This policy of Quality Assurance covers patient care, orthotics, prosthetics, pedorthics, post-mastectomy products, and services delivered to our patients. The objective of the QA Program is to achieve a visible and quantifiable continuing improvement in quality.

The elements of this QA Program include, but may not be limited to:

* Responsiveness to individual patient need.

* Communication demonstrating concern and courtesy.

* Timeliness of care.

* Competence in professional performance by staff.

      * Patient care at current state of the art level.

      * Outcomes achieved in a level of comfort and functional restoration or physical support.

      * Appropriateness of recommended orthotic device, prosthetic device, pedorthic device, or post-         mastectomy product.

  * Cost effectiveness of solution for desired outcomes.

These elements are to be addressed by the entire AAL&OS professional staff and administrative staff. Procedures under this policy will involve patient care, patient education, evaluation and design criteria, fabrication and finishing, patient records and other functions.

Professional Conduct

Practitioners at AAL&OS are required to abide by the Canons of Ethical Conduct (ABC's code of professional ethics) to maintain good standing. The Canons were adopted to promote acceptable standards of moral and professional conduct. Certified practitioners must abide by the rules and policies of the Board and must otherwise conduct themselves in a fashion that brings credit to the profession, including, if necessary, the exposure of illegal, improper, and/or unethical conduct of others which can assist the Board in maintaining the standards of the profession.
